Get Involved: Planning Underway for Haunted Walk

Volunteers needed to adopt-a-spot to haunt or run an activity for attendees.

Planning is underway for the 20th annual Halloween Haunted Walk at Wasserman Park. The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department and P.A.C.T. (Police and Children Together) are joining forces once again, to co-host this year’s family-friendly event to be held on Friday, Oct. 26, from 5-8 p.m. Events will include a Haunted House sponsored by MHS First Robotics Team, costume contest, pumpkin and Halloween ornament decorating, flash light egg hunt, games, goody bags, popcorn, cotton candy and more!

To add to the festive atmosphere the Rec Department is in search of groups interested in adopting-a-spot to decorate and/or haunt for the Halloween Haunted Walk. Groups, committees and organizations are encouraged to take part in this community event! Please contact the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department with the type of service you would like to provide. Whether you’d like to take part in the Haunted Walk to help make it spectacular, offer refreshments, organize children’s games, do face painting, demonstrations, raffles or something completely new and exciting, the staff at Parks and Rec would love to hear from you.

Contact the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department at 882-1046 or by e-mail at parksdept@merrimacknh.gov to share your ideas.
