Get Your Non-Profit Listed in Library Directory

Town Council meeting. The Merrimack Town Council will meet on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton meeting room. On the agenda, the Police Department is requesting the acceptance of more than $23,000 in grant money from two separate grants, and the board will also continue a discussion about a proposed war monument in Fraser Square. Help build the directory. The Merrimack Public Library is compiling its 20th Community Contacts Directory, an online listing of non-profit groups and organizations in and around Merrimack. The directory includes high-demand information on local non-profit groups including address, contact person, meeting dates, times and locations, and a brief description of each organization. The directory is published at the library’s website www.merrimacklibrary.org/contacts. More than one hundred organizations have been included in past editions, and updated information requests have been e-mailed or mailed. New listings are being sought the this 20th edition. If your non-profit organization is not currently includes and would like to be added to this popular publication, you can request a form by contacting the Reference Department at 424-5021 or by email at merrimackpl@merrimacklibrary.org on or before Nov. 14.
ICYMI... And we sincerely hope you didn't, because it was a great game, the Red Sox thumped the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night in an 8-1 win in the first game of the World Series. Game Two is tonight, in Boston again, with the first pitch shortly after 8 p.m. Tune into Fox to watch it on TV.

Weather watch. Blustery but sunny weather on tap today. The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 53. Light west wind increasing to 9 to 14 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
