Gov. Hassan to Tour Nanocomp Wednesday

Stop is part of Hassan's Innovate NH Tour, highlighting the need to expand the R&D tax credit.

Gov. Maggie Hassan will stop on Nanocomp Technologies, Inc., on Wednesday afternoon as she continue her statewide “Innovate NH” tour. Hassan is promoting the need to expand the state’s research and development tax credit.

Founded in 2004, Nanocomp produces high-performance strong, light and conductive sheets, tapes, wires and yarns comprised of high concentrations of carbon nanotube (CNTs) fibers. Nanocomp's products have been used in aerospace and defense, aviation, automotive, energy and consumer market applications.

Governor Hassan’s “Innovate NH” jobs plan calls for the expansion of the R&D tax credit to help innovative businesses like Nanocomp develop new technologies and create jobs in New Hampshire. Earlier today, the Governor submitted a letter to the Senate Ways and Means Committee in support of passage of SB1, which would double the R&D tax credit and make the provision permanent.

Hassan will be a Nanocomp, 57 Daniel Webster Highway at 3:45 p.m.
