Halloween Fun at Haunted Walk in Wasserman Park

Annual Halloween event, sponsored by Parks and Rec and Police and Children Together, is Friday.

The 20th annual Halloween Haunted Walk will be held at Wasserman Park on Friday, Oct. 26, from 5-8 p.m. Bring your family and friends for this happy haunted event that will be filled with a night of Halloween egg hunts, a Haunted House, games, candy, healthy choices and plenty of delicious refreshments for everyone! 

Indoors, the Merrimack Police Department will kick off festivities with their traditional Halloween Fun Day of free activities including Halloween games for the children, pumpkin decorating and prizes. Come dressed in your most creative Halloween costume and join in the fun of the annual costume contest that will begin at 7 p.m. Refreshments will include apple cider, popcorn and apples. 

Sam “The Music Man” will keep this spooktacular event rockin’ as the kids dance up a storm to the “Monster Mash” and Merrimack Karate will be entertaining children with their exciting game of Sponge Bop! Children ages 6 and younger, join us around the haunted haystack to search for Halloween eggs filled with tiny treasure! All children ages 6 and up, bring your own flashlight and head out to the Haunted Field to search for Halloween Eggs filled with treats! The Haunted Field will be haunted by various groups including members of the Girl Scouts Troops 12129 and 10596!

The Haunted House, hosted by MHS First Robotics Team, will be open from 5-8 p.m. The ticket price of $2 per person will benefit the High Schools FIRST Robotics Team. All ages are welcome. The guided tour will be modified for younger children. You will have an opportunity to support various non-profit organizations while enjoying delicious refreshments in the function hall.

Merrimack Friends and Families will offer chips and salsa and hot beverages. All proceeds from their food sales will benefit the Merrimack Friends and Families Charitable Fund. Family Chiropractic of Merrimack will be handing out healthy treats and beverages, Merrimack High School First Robotics Team will be selling baked goods and the Lioness Club will be handing out free cookies and coffee.
