Haunted Happenings, Senior Information Fair and Meetings

A look at the week ahead in Merrimack

School Board to meet. The Merrimack School Board will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room at Town Hall. Among the agenda items are a discussion about math programming in the school district and budget season preparations. Get the full agenda on the Merrimack School District website.

Senior Information Fair.
The annual Senior Information Fair will be held at the John O'Leary Adult Community Center, 4 Church St., from 9 to 11:30 a.m.  The fair provides an excellent opportunity not only for seniors to attend, but also for the adult care givers out there who could use the help of support services. ZBA to meet.
The Merrimack Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet in the Matthew Thornton Room on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. for  a regularly scheduled meeting. Among the agenda items is a variance request to build seven housing units per acre in a proposed subdivision where housing units would be capped at 168 total, on the southern end of Daniel Webster Highway. Town Council meeting.
The Merrimack Town Council will meet on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton meeting room. On the agenda, the Police Department is requesting the acceptance of more than $23,000 in grant money from two separate grants, and the board will also continue a discussion about a proposed war monument in Fraser Square. Annual Halloween Haunted Walk.
 The 21st annual Halloween Haunted Walk will be held at Wasserman Park on Friday, Oct. 25 from 5-8 p.m.  Bring your family and friends for this happy haunted event that will be filled with a night of games, music, prizes, treats and plenty of delicious refreshments for everyone! Annual costume contest that will begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Take a walk through the Girl Scout sponsored pumpkin patch or swing through the Haunted House, hosted by MHS First Robotics Team, will between 5 and 8 p.m. for a small fee.  All ages are welcome. Halloween Spooktacular. Calling all goblins, ghosts and ghouls! Come out to haunted Camp Sargent for some spooky fun on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 2-5 p.m.! Check out our haunted house, take a hayride, play games and more! Wear your Halloween costume. Free and open to the public. Camp Sargent is located at 141 Camp Sargent Road in Merrimack.
