Helicopters to be Used for Aerial Patrols

Weather permitting, flyovers will be April 9, 10 and 11.

Merrimack Police issued an alert on Sunday informing residents not to be surprised if they see helicopters buzzing about the skies in Merrimack in the middle of the week.

According to the alert, Public Service of New Hampshire will be conducting maintenance flyovers along transmissions lines as part of an aerial patrol for vegetation maintenance.

"These visual inspections are important for electrical system reliability, and are not being conducted for the Northern Pass Project," according to PSNH.
