Help Decide What Should be in '5 Things' in 2013

Nominate a 'Person of the Year,' help revamp Patch Facts and more.

1. Nominate a Person of the Year. We are looking to recognize a Merrimack resident as the Person of the Year in town. Do you know someone who is always looking out for others? Or someone who is doing amazing things in the schools, in the business community or otherwise? Send your nominations with an explanation of why you think that person deserves to be person of the year and we will select a winner by the end of 2012, and write a profile about that person in the first week of 2013. Send nominations to carolyn.dube@patch.com by Dec. 26.

2. Patch Facts 2013. I've been thinking about revamping this column, Patch Facts, in 2013 and want your input, since Patch is your community site after all. Are you happy with the information you get in this column? Are there other types of information you'd like to see? Do you prefer the focus on the local events and information or would you like to see more links to stories of national interest? Share your ideas and opinions in the comment section or email carolyn.dube@gmail.com.

3. Visit a museum during vacation. The Merrimack Public Library has passes to 16 museums in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and several of those passes are still available for days during vacation. Get a chance to go to the NH Children's Museum in Dover or the Museum of  Science in Cambridge, Mass. Find out which passes are available when and reserve them for the day of your choice today.
