How Much Snow is Expected in Merrimack?

Snow is falling in New Hampshire. How much will Merrimack get and when does it end?

Snow is falling Merrimack and across parts of New Hampshire as of 4 p.m. and is expected to affect this evening's commute and possibly the early morning commute, too.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

By the time it's over, an expected two to three inches of snow may blanket Merrimack, as well as a layer of ice as sleet and freezing rain may mix in sometime around midnight.

Watch: A fleet of state plow trucks deploy onto the F.E. Everett Turnpike on Monday afternoon from the Merrimack garage on Daniel Webster Highway.

As always, drivers should prepare for a longer time on the road in poor conditions. The visibility on the Everett Turnpike is already greatly reduced. Give yourself plenty of time to get where you are going, leave more space between yourself and the car in front of you and stay alert.
