Last Chance to Sign Up for Wine, Chocolate Tour

Here are five things you should know as you start your Monday.

1. Ribbon cutting. A brief ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tonight at the Wire Road Bridge to celebrate the end of the months-long bridge replacement project. The bridge is due to re-open this week, a couple months ahead of the original projection of re-opening in August.

2. School board to meet. The Merrimack School Board will meet tonight at 7:30 in the Matthew Thornton Room at Merrimack Town Hall for a regularly-scheduled meeting. On the agenda is the annual review with Thorntons Ferry School and a discussion regarding reconsideration of the roof replacement project at Merrimack High School. Get the full agenda online.  

3. Wine and chocolate. The Parks and Recreation Dept is hosting a bus trip to tour two NH wineries and Swan Chocolates on Wednesday, May 8. Leave from Wasserman Park at 9 a.m. The ticket price of $65 includes transportation, lunch, admission tickets and driver gratuity. Call 882-1046 to reserve your seat!

4. Running Water 5K. Pre-registration coming to a close for the Running Water 5K, a fundraiser to help build a well for clean drinking water in Haiti. 5. Weather watch. Today's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 74. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 45.
