Monday Essentials: Laughter is the Best Medicine, Get Giggling With Laughter Yoga

A look at some of the things you should know as you start the week.
Weather outlook. This week's forecast looks to be a mix of sun and clouds with warm days climbing into the low 90s by Wednesday before dipping back into the low 70s and high 60s for the weekend. Scattered rain and thundershowers are in the National Weather Service's prediction for the week. And make sure to have a light sweater, sweatshirt or jacket if you're going to be out at night. Nighttime temps will dip into the 60s, 50s and 40s.
Remembering the lives lost. This Wednesday is the 12-year anniversary since the terrorist attacks on U.S. soil on Sep. 11 2001. Do you know of remembrance ceremonies in the area? Send the details to Carolyn.Dube@patch.com and we'll help spread the word.
Farmers Market. Merrimack Farmers Market will hold it's second to last market of the year in the parking lot of the Commons, 515 Daniel Webster Highway on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Town Council. The Merrimack Town Council will meet Thursday in the Matthew Thornton room, at 7 p.m. Among the agenda items, the Council will hear a proposal to dead end Church Street so that it no longer connects directly to the Daniel Webster Highway. Get the full agenda on the town website.
Laughter Yoga. Relieve your stress with Laughter Yoga on Tuesday, Sept 10 in the Merrimack Public Library from 7-8:30 p.m.! Comic mime and yogi Robert Rivest will instruct participants in this wellness program that combines interactive laughter exercises with deep centering breaths and calming movements. Laughter Yoga is a fun, effective stress relief program for all ages and abilities. It can be performed gently (in a chair if needed) or by moving throughout the room with full energy and enthusiasm!
