LETTER: 'Elections Do Have Their Consequences'
State Rep. Lenette Peterson reports on how the Democratic leadership has voted on some of the biggest bills of this session.

To the Editor:
The Democrats have been quite busy this year working to raises taxes on businesses and the hardworking families of our state, while also working to kill good Republican legislation that passed last year.
Here are some examples of the biggest bills from the session, and how the majority of Democrats voted on them:

- 96% of Democrats voted to raise the gas tax (HB 617)
- 95% voted to increase the fee on home heating oil (HB185)
- 91% voted to raise the tobacco tax (HB659)
- 100% of Democrats voted to repeal some aspects of the Voter ID law passed last year (HB595)
- 95% to repeal Stand Your Ground (HB135)
- 97% voted to repeal the Education Opportunity Tax Credit (HB370)
- 99% voted for to allow the state to accept expanded Medicaid as part of Obamacare (HB271)
- 99% voted to kill Right to Work legislation (HB323)
- 97% of Democrats voted to pass both HB1 and HB2, the Democrat House budget that increases spending by over 10%, and includes $263m in new or increased taxes.
And to think that we are only four months into this term. How much it will cost the tax payers of New Hampshire by the time this term is over? New Hampshire voters, elections do have their consequences…
