LETTER: John and Brenda Grady Will Make the Tough Decisions

Former Merrimack state rep urges support of John and Brenda Grady to represent town in Concord

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter of endorsement supporting the candidacy of Brenda and John Grady who are running for the New Hampshire House of Representatives from Merrimack. I have known both Brenda and John for over 30 years. Brenda served on the School Board while John served as a Selectmen and both were members on the Municipal Budget Committee. There are many other instances of public service by both of the Gradys too numerous to mention. In addition, both are long time members of the Merrimack Exchange Club, a civic community service organization. Brenda and John are also 37-year residents, homeowners and taxpayers in Merrimack.

So why do I believe they would be outstanding State Representatives? I know that both Brenda and John will ask the hard questions, soliciting ideas and input from the community, researching issues and promoting vigorous discussion on a topic. They will not be merely rubber stamps pressured to take the easy path when a tough decision needs to be made. These are the attributes that your state representative needs to possess while serving in Concord.

The Gradys have stated that they are against the shifting of the tax burden from the State to the town and school district. They support and will work to provide access to low-cost health care. They are strong advocates for both public education and affordable post-secondary education.

So before you cast your ballot on Nov. 6 be sure you have studied the positions of each candidate running for representative from both parties. I am sure that after you review the positions of each candidate both Brenda and John Grady will be at the top of your list.
