Man Arrested for Allegedly Spitting on Driver
The following information was provided by Merrimack Police. An arrest does not indicated a conviction.

A 31-year-old Merrimack man was arrested on Thursday on a warrant stemming from a confrontation in the northern end of town on Oct. 1 in which he allegedly spit on another person.
Donald Dufault III, 31, of 21 Rocky Ledge Road, Merrimack, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct on Oct. 10.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Back River Road and Bedford Road on the first day of the month for a reported assault. Upon arrival, a motorist told them he was spit on while in a verbal confrontation with another motorist who had since fled the scene.

A short investigation directed police to Dufault as the other driver. On Oct. 10, police arrested Dufault at his residence without incident around 6 p.m. Dufault is scheduled to appear in the Merrimack district court on Nov. 5, to answer to the charges.
