Man Charged With Assaulting Merrimack Woman

Police say he broke woman's glasses in the process of forcing way into home.

Merrimack Police arrested a 21-year-old man last week, charging him for allegedly forcing his way into Merrimack home and assaulting a female resident there.

Nicolas Loiselle, 21, with no fixed address, was charged with simple assault and two counts of criminal mischief. Police say they were called to a home in the Merrimack Meadows development after a man called 911 to report  a domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with several witnesses and determined that Loiselle had assaulted a female resident while attempting to gain entry into a residence. In doing so, he allegedly broke her eye glasses, and then kicked a hole in a bedroom door once he gained entry in to the residence.
