Man Charged With Assaulting Woman in Restaurant Parking Lot

A Milford man was arrested over the weekend following an alleged assault in a Merrimack restaurant.

Merrimack Police arrested FNU Niko, 31, of 504 Nashua St., Milford, on a charge of domestic-related simple assault.

Police say they were called to a local restaurant at 12:43 a.m. on April 27 for a report of a man who'd pushed a woman against a car in the parking lot. A short investigation determined Niko to be the suspect.

He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is ordered to appear in Merrimack's district court on May 16. The misdemeanor assault charge is punishible by up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
