Man Charged With Stealing Checks From Former Employer
Police conducted investigation in conjunction with Merrimack employer's bank.

A Manchester man was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing checks from his former employer, a Merrimack resident.
Michael Capps Jr., 25, of 29 Val St., Manchester, was charged with one count of theft by unauthorized taking. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Dec. 26 following an investigation into a complaint lodged on Dec. 9 by a Merrimack resident who told authorities Capps stole checks from them, according to Merrimack Police.
The investigation was conducted with the help of the resident's bank, police said.

Capps was released on $1,500 personal recognizance pending his arraignment before the 9th Circuit District Court in Merrimack on Jan. 22.
