Manchester Man Charged with Stalking

Christopher Temple of Manchester was arrested on Christmas Day after police found that he was with a woman who had a protective order against him.

A Manchester man was arrested for stalking on Christmas Day, according to Merrimack Police.

Christopher Temple, 34, of 798 Hanover St. violated a protective order when he made contact with the victim at 1 Continental Blvd. on Dec. 25 just before 12 noon, according to a press release issued by Merrimack Police Capt. Peter Albert.

Temple told police that he had criminal bail order that prohibited him from having contact with a female that he was riding in the car with. Temple also told police that he had an argument with the female and wanted to be away from her, according to Merrimack Police.

Police confirmed that there was a criminal bail order out of Manchester District Court that prohibited him from having contact with the female, according to Merrimack Police. Police officers then arrested Temple for stalking for violating the bail order and being with the protected party.

Temple was transported to the Merrimack Police Department where he was processed. He was ordered held on $2,000 cash bail. He was then released to the custody of Manchester Police Department on their warrant that was also charging him with stalking, according to Merrimack Police.

He was scheduled to be arraigned on the misdemeanor charge in the 9th Circuit District Division Merrimack Court on Dec. 26, according to Merrimack Police. A misdemeanor is punishable by a year in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.
