Merrimack Crime Roundup: Aug. 19-Aug. 28
First-degree assault, theft and impaired driving were among incidents reported by the Merrimack police in the past week.

MERRIMACK, NH — The following crime-related incidents have been reported by the Merrimack police in the past week. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.
Monday, Aug. 19 — Kenneth Eaton, 43, of Merrimack, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking and drug possession. Police say the theft charge stems from a Feb. 9 report of ATV theft that had occurred last year. According to police, Eaton was withholding the ATV from its rightful owner. When he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a controlled drug, police say.
Thursday, Aug 22 — Kimberly Cushman, 52, of Litchfield, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI), DWI, having an open alcohol container in a vehicle, and two counts of possession of prescription drugs. Police say she was arrested after officers on patrol saw her erratically driving in the area of Daniel Webster Highway and Bedford Road. When police tried to stop the vehicle, they saw her rear-end a motorcycle at the intersection of Bedford Road and the Exit 12 off-ramp, according to police. No injuries resulted in the collision. Cushman, the driver, showed signs of impairment after being stopped by police.

Saturday, Aug. 24 — Merrimack residents Dillon Brown, 19, and Robert Brown, 50, were charged in connection with a domestic argument that occurred the previous night. Dillon Brown was arrested on a first-degree assault charge stating he stabbed Robert Brown in the leg, causing him to go to a local hospital. Robert Brown was charged with three counts of domestic violence stating he had assaulted a family member during the same argument.
Wednesday, Aug. 28 — Maria Young, 19, of Mont Vernon, turned herself in to police on a Class B felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. The charge stems from an Aug. 11 theft incident at Merrimack Premium Outlets, in which a former employee reportedly stole items worth more than $1,000 in value. Police say they reviewed the surveillance footage and saw Young place items in her purse at the Saks Off 5th Ave store, and leave the store without paying for them.

Randall Francis, 40, of Bedford, was arrested on a warrant on charges of criminal trespass and breach of bail. Police say that on Aug. 19, a local business reported an unwanted person on the property, who had left before police arrived. Francis was identified as the person who trespassed; according to police, Francis was forbidden to go on the property after being arrested Aug. 2 and charged with stealing from the business. He was arrested on the trespassing charge by Bedford police on Wednesday and then transported to the Merrimack police station, where he was released on $250 cash bail.
