Merrimack Family Arrested After Fight: Police

Merrimack police said Marcel Trepanier and sons Jason and Robert were arrested after an altercation.

MERRIMACK, NH — Several members of a Merrimack family were arrested Monday after police said two brothers fought each other and their father struggled with officers. Marcel Trepanier, 71, and his sons Jason, 44, and Robert, 35, were all charged with assault. Marcel was also charged with resisting arrest.

Merrimack Police Sgt. Richard McKenzie said officers were dispatched to the family's residence Monday at about 3 p.m. for a report of an assault.

"Jason and Robert had an argument that led to a physical altercation at which time Robert struck Jason in the hand with a putty knife and Jason struck Robert in the head," McKenzie said in a statement.
