Merrimack Father, Son Arrested on Drug Charges

The son is also accused of attempting to bite a police officer.

A Merrimack father and son are facing drug charges after they were arrested on Friday.

Timothy Soucy, 51, 140 London Court is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

His son, Jonathan Soucy, 18, also of 140 London Court, is charged with unlawful sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault.

On Friday, Dec. 20, Merrimack Police executed a search warrant at 140 London Court. The warrant was a culmination of a month-long investigation into the sale of marijuana. Police began the investigation after receiving several reports from concerned citizens regarding the residents at 140 London Court possibly selling drugs from inside the residence.

During the investigation, police said they purchased quantities of marijuana from Jonathan Soucy.

While executing the search warrant, police located a quantity of marijuana inside which was linked to Timothy Soucy, who was subsequently taken into custody for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

While conducting the search, Jonathan Soucy arrived home. Police had active arrest warrants for him, and when investigators attempted to place him into custody, he began to struggle with them. During the struggle, he attempted to bite one of the officers as well as strike another officer in the face. He was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Merrimack Police Department, where his father was already located, and both father and son were processed.

Timothy Soucy was held on $5,000 cash-only bail, and Jonathan Soucy was held on $25,000 cash-only bail. They were both transported to Valley Street Jail where they were held until their arraignment in Merrimack District Court on Dec. 23.
