Town Seeks to Fill Library Trustee Seat

Residents interested in serving on the Library Board are asked to submit applications by May 19.

The town issued the below press release with more information for interested residents:

The Town of Merrimack is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Library Board of Trustees until the vote in April 2015 in order to fill the vacant seat.

The Library Board is the governing board of the library and has entire custody and management of the Merrimack Public Library. Among the Board’s many duties are preparing the annual budget, establishing library policies and appointing all staff. The Board currently meets on the third Tuesday evening of every month and occasionally more often when necessary.

Qualifications include: resident of Merrimack, knowledge of the library and the community, ability to work well with others, and a willingness to devote time and effort to the duties of Trustee.

If you are interested in applying for the position, please submit a letter of interest by Monday, May 19, 2014 which includes your qualifications, personal characteristics, length of residency, previous positions held, and experience related to this position to:
