Merrimack Man Arrested for Assaulting Women, Resisting Arrest

Police say Justin Eastman hit police officer in the leg with a door.

A Merrimack man was arrested Tuesday for assaulting two woman and hitting a police officer with a door as he was being arrested, police say.

Justin Eastman, 28, of Dahl Road, Merrimack, was charged with five counts of simple assault and one count of resisting arrest when police arrested him on Dahl Road around 1:30 a.m.

Police say they were called to a residence on Dahl Road by a woman who reported a domestic disturbance in process between Eastman and two women. When police arrived, both female victims told police they were assaulted by Eastman.

Police say when they attempted to talk to Eastman he attempted to close the door on the officer's leg and then resisted arrest, needing to be physically restrained.

Eastman was brought to the Merrimack Police Department where he was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He was scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 18.
