Merrimack Man Charged With Indecent Exposure

The arrests were made following a POP Unit investigation targeting Greeley Park and the Hills Ferry boat ramp in Nashua.

Two men were arrested recently for indecent exposure following a sting operation by the city's Problem Oriented Policing Unit. They are identified as:

Steven Calawa, 61, of 168 Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield and Roland Neff, 80, of 57 Coventry Court Merrimack.

On Oct. 18, during a POP Unit undercover operation in the area of Greeley Park and the adjacent Hills Ferry Road boat ramp, police said Calawa and Neff exposed themselves to an undercover officer in an open, public area.

The investigation was meant to target and eliminate lewd and indecent behavior, which has been a problem in both park facilities recently, police said.

Calawa and Neff were each charged with indecent exposure and lewdness, class A misdemeanors. Each man was released on $1,500 cash or surety pending arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines.
