Nashua Man Charged in Teen's Stabbing

Dean Janggen, 20, was arrested for first and second degree assault.

A Nashua man is facing assault charges after allegedly stabbing a teen in Merrimack over the weekend.

Dean Janggen, 20, of 16 Cherrywood Drive, Nashua is charged with first and second degree assault.  

Janggen was apprehended by Manchester Police on Sunday and arrested by Merrimack Police at 5:11 p.m. at the Manchester Police Department.

On Saturday, Merrimack Police were notified by Nashua Police that there was a male victim at a local hospital who was being treated for a stab wound to the torso. Merrimack detectives responded to the hospital where they learned that the male victim had been in an altercation in Merrimack with an acquaintance, later identified Janggen. During the altercation, Janggen stabbed the victim in the torso area. The victim was treated for non-life threatening wounds. 

Janggen was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing. Bail was set at $10,000 cash. Janggen was unable to make bail and was transported to Valley Street Jail pending his arraignment before the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on Monday.
