Merrimack Police to Attend MIT Officer's Memorial

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Mayor Tom Menino announced the One Fund has brought in more than $20 million already.

2. From Merrimack PD. "Merrimack's Officers are heading down to MIT tomorrow to honor Officer Sean Collier at his memorial ceremony. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers..." Collier was the young MIT Officer killed in the line of duty allegedly by the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings late last Thursday night.

3. Hoot 'n' Hollah. Join the Merrimack Public Library today, from 3-4 p.m., let your kids explore their musical side by creating their own "recycled" instrument and being part of the band at this raucous sing-along. Sing classic favorites with a twist. For kids aged 3 and older with an adult. (Younger siblings welcome.) Register with an adult Merrimack Library card.

4. Zoning board to meet. The Merrimack Zoning Board will meet to talk tonight with a few residents regarding a handful of home  projects in need of variances.  Get the details and full agenda on the Merrimack town website.

5. Weather watch. After Tuesday's rainy chilly weather, a day in the mid 70s is would be nice. And it appears that's what's on the way today. According to the National Weather Service, today will start with patchy fog before 7 a.m. becoming partly sunny, with a high near 74. Tonight, a chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 46.
