Merrimack Teen Charged with Assaulting Family Member

Ryan Mercier, 17, was charged with domestic simple assault and criminal mischief on Dec. 26.

A local teen spent part of his Christmas vacation at the Merrimack Police Station after he was arrested for assaulting a family member.

According to a Merrimack Police press release, Ryan Mercier, 17, of Dwyer Street was involved in an altercation with a family member on Thursday. Police officers responded to the home following an E-911 call and determined that Mercier had assaulted a family member and caused some property damage in the home.

Mercier was charged with domestic related simple assault and criminal mischief. He was later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on Dec. 27, according to police.
