Merrimack Woman Charged with DWI Following Crash
Kaja Maguire was also charged with conduct after an accident after she struck a gas station island with her vehicle.
A Merrimack woman was charged with drunken driving after crashing into a gas station island early Thursday morning and then leaving the scene.
Kaja Maguire, 29, of 17 Winrow Drive, is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack District Court on March 11.
Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Merrimack Police received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver from the Bon Bon’s Mobil at 140 D.W. Highway. The driver reportedly struck the island at the establishment.
While responding, Officer Greg Walters located the vehicle, which was traveling northbound on the D.W. Highway near Industrial Drive. Upon observing a number of moving violations, Officer Walters stopped the vehicle near Star Drive. Upon speaking with the driver, who was identified as Maguire, he made observations of her impairment and arrested her for operating under the influence of liquor.
