Merrimack Youth Hosts Children’s Business Fair At Watson Park Sunday
Sara Snavely is hosting Merrimack's first Children's Business Fair to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of local youth.

MERRIMACK, NH — A girl from Merrimack is hosting the town's first business fair for kids.
Sara Snavely, 11, has put together the Children’s Business Fair at Watson Park for Sunday. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The effort has been scheduled to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of local youth.
The fair, which is being sponsored by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, and generous donors and volunteers, will give the kids an opportunity to launch their very own startup businesses.

The children will be encouraged to develop brands, create products or services, map out a marketing strategy for the businesses, and then, open the businesses for customers at this one-day marketplace. The rules, however, state that parents cannot assist the kids in any way as the intent of the fair is to give children the experience of selling a product or service.
“It’s a great way to show people what kids can do,” Snavely saud. “I hope we get a lot of people to come on Sunday.”

During the three-hour event, all community members will be welcome to visit each entrepreneur’s booth, make purchases, ask questions, and, more importantly, provide kids with encouragement and guidance.
