Nashua Crash Kills Manchester Passenger, Severely Injures Merrimack Driver: Update
Brandee LaBarge died after Kyle Freeman of Merrimack allegedly fled from cops and crashed on Amherst Street where they were both ejected.
NASHUA, NH — A Manchester woman has died from injuries sustained in a Nashua accident, while the driver, a man, has life-threatening injuries from the accident in the vicinity of Somerset Parkway and Amherst Street Monday.
Nashua officers responded to the Residence Inn by Marriott at 25 Trafalgar Square for the report of an assault involving a deadly weapon around 1:40 a.m. As officers responded with lights and sirens, they observed a black Nissan Altima driving at them on the wrong side of Somerset Parkway, according to Nashua Police Sgt. John Cinelli.
The vehicle crossed over the median to avoid the oncoming police vehicle and began to accelerate at an extremely high rate of speed, he said. Officers reversed direction in an attempt to pursue the fleeing vehicle. As officers reversed their direction, the car accelerated past them and turned off the vehicle lights. Moments later, officers heard a loud crash and discovered that the vehicle had crossed over Amherst Street and crashed into a parking lot.

Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR ambulance responded to the accident and provided medical treatment to the driver and passenger.
The passenger who died has been identified as Brandee LaBarge, 23, of Manchester, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver has Been identified as Kyle Freeman, 23, of Merrimack; he was med-flighted to a Boston area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle appears to have been traveling south on Somerset Parkway, crossed Amherst Street, and continued through a parking lot. In the parking lot, the car struck medians, trees, and bushes and then traveled over a pond, coming to rest when it landed.
Firefighters and police searched a large area in and around the pond to ensure no other victims were involved.
