Nashua Telegraph Staff Cut by 24

1. In Boston overnight. It has been a tragic and chaotic night in the Boston area again, with an MIT police officer dead, an MBTA Transportation officer shot and in serious condition, and one of the Boston Marathon bombers, suspect 1, is also dead. 2. Telegraph staff sliced. The Nashua Telegraph's new owners have reportedly cut 24 employees from the 99-person staff, according to the Union Leader. Ogden Newspapers Inc., which officially takes over operation of the 187-year-old daily newspaper on Sunday, required the entire staff to interview for their jobs and the company opted not to rehire two dozen – eight of whom were staff reporters, editors and photographers. 3. Yard sale for CF. Stop by a yard sale at 4 Ivy Drive on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The yard sale is raising money for cystic fibrosi walking team Hannah's Helpers. There is a bake sale too. Come for great sale items and meet Hannah Vigeant, a young Merrimack girl living with cystic fibrosis.
