Nearly $10K in Merchandise Stolen in Pennichuck Square
Police looking for public's help after burglars attempted to get into nearly every business in Pennichuck Square.

Merrimack Police say a string of overnight burglaries in Pennichuck Square resulted in damage El Tapatio and more than $10,000 in merchandise being stolen from Carm's Gift Shoppe and Layla's Consignments.
Police say they were called to Carm's Gift Shoppe Sunday morning for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, they found "nearly all the front doors to the shops had been compromised in one form or another.
The only three shops that had confirmed burglaries, however, were El Tapatio, a Mexican Restaurant, Carm's Gift Shoppe and Layla's Consignments, a new store to the plaza that opened in July.
Investigators processing the scene and collecting evidence determined the suspects broke into the three shops sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
At this time it is believed that nearly $10,000 in merchandise was taken from the two shops, and additional damages to property at the restaurant.
