Need a Break From Sandy? Reminisce About Snowtober!
Can you believe it's been a year and Merrimack is losing power at a rapid rate again?

While the worst of what we're going to get may not have fully arrived yet, here's something to be thankful for: There's no snow!
It was a year ago, believe it or not, that New Hampshire was handed a one-two punch with "Snowtober." Snow on top of trees that were still covered with leaves took out power to 98 percent of Merrimack. Some residents were without power for five or more days.

One year later, we expected to look back on last year's Snowtober and maybe laugh, probably cringe and we should have been saying thank goodness that's not happening this year. While there's no white stuff, and Merrimack Fire Chief Michael Currier said he doesn't expect outages to last as long, this storm is certainly no treat.
