New Donut Shop, Drive-Thru Coming to Merrimack?

A proposal to open a new donut shop with a drive-thru at an existing gas station will go before planners next month.

G. Nasr Realty's application to build a 530-square-foot donut shop addition with a drive-thru and related parking at 715 D.W. Highway was originally scheduled to go before the Conservation Commission on Feb. 10. But Community Development Director Timothy Thompson said a review of the zoning showed it is not in the Aquifer Conservation District. It will now be placed on the Planning Board's March 18 agenda for review.

Thompson said the proposal is for a small addition to the existing EZ Stop gas station and convenience store already located at the site. The donut shop would be located in the existing store. He said he's not yet sure what type of donut shop it will be.
