New Hampshire Makes History on Election Night
First all female Congressional Delegation elected, while Obama gets another shot in America.
New Hampshire made history on election night when voters elected Carol Shea-Porter and Anne McLane-Kuster to the U.S. House of Representatives over their incumbent opponents Frank Guinta and Charlie Bass, respectively.
Shea-Porter and Kuster will join U.S. Sens. Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen in the Congressional delegation, making it the first all-female delegation in history.
Maggie Hassan, D-Exeter, was also elected to succeed Gov. John Lynch, making her the second female governor in New Hampshire's history. Shaheen was the first. She beat Republican opponent Ovide Lamontagne, R-Manchester, in the race for New Hampshire's top elected position.
