NH Woman Faces Felony Charge After Wrong-Way DWI Crash On Everett Turnpike
Dilceneia Mezabarba was accused of driving north in the southbound lane and contributing to a crash involving two vehicles and a motorcycle.

NASHUA, NH — A woman from Nashua is facing a felony charge after a multi-vehicle crash on the Everett Turnpike on Sunday.
Around 8:30 p.m., New Hampshire State Police received several reports about a car driving north in the southbound lane.
“The initial reports received indicated that a vehicle entered the highway the wrong way from the Circumferential Highway, where it continued traveling northbound in the southbound lane,” Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the state police, said. “As troopers were responding to the area, additional calls were received, reporting that multiple vehicles had been involved in a collision with a vehicle driving the wrong way in the area immediately north of Exit 4.”

After investigating the incident, state police accused Dilceneia Mezabarba, 51, of Nashua of driving a 2010 Ford Focus the wrong way and then colliding with a Kia Sorento around Exit 4.
“Mezabarba was able to continue for a short distance before coming to a stop in the middle of the highway,” Lagace said.

A motorcycle was then forced to maneuver to avoid colliding with the Focus, which resulted in another collision with a fourth vehicle. The motorcyclist, Patrick Ferguson, 38, of Nashua, was taken to the hospital for serious injuries. No other motorist or passenger was injured, she said.
Mezabarba was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct.
The highway was closed for around two hours for the investigation and cleanup.
