Not So Fast ... More Winter Weather in the Forecast

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Merrimack and surrounding areas.

Thought winter was firmly in the rear view mirror?

Think again.

The National Weather (NWS) service in Taunton, Mass. has issued a winter weather advisory for areas of southern New Hampshire, including Merrimack and eastern Hillsborough County.

The advisory, which is in effect from 5 a.m. through noon Friday, warns of a wintry mix of sleet and light freezing rain accumulating up to one inch with an icy layer on top.

Though the highest impact from the storm is expected in higher elevations of Cheshire County and western Hillsborough County, NWS is still advising caution during the morning commute, warning of possible slick spots on the roadways.
