Older Can be Better With a Great Antique Car
These five antique cars are driveable or nearly so and are for sale in Southern New Hampshire.
This week we take a step back in time and consider those who aren't necessarily looking for a shiny new car, but for a classic car to show off or a project made for spending the weekends in the garage.
That's why this week we're taking a look at some antique cars available for sale around Southern New Hampshire.
An antique car is classified as anything older than 25 years. So yes, a car made in 1988 (or earlier) is now considered antique.

Some of these cars are in great shape, road-worthy and ready to cruise the streets of New Hampshire this summer, while others are what we call project-worthy. They need some TLC and elbow grease but have great potential.
As we head into the warmer months of 2013, it's the perfect time to go on the prowl for new project.

And starting at the end of this month, classic car-lovers from all over will start cruising to Amherst on the last Sunday of the month for the 53rd year of the Amherst NH Antique Auto Show. Get more information here about hours, directions and reserving a space to show off your beauty.
1. 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL, $11,899
Listed at Lincoln of Concord, this two-door 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL convertible has only 98,460. It has a 5.6L V8 16V SOHC engine, an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. According to the note on this car's listing on Cars.com: "This car was garaged and is in incredible condition, seldom used, check out these low miles. Drives great, clean car report! Convertible with a blue hard top and soft top, grey leather, power locks/windows and more."
2. 1961 Buick Invicta, $1,350
This 1961 Buick Invicta is listed in Windham for $1,350. It has an automatic transmission and all original parts, however it needs a battery and points to run, according to its Craigslist listing. 3. 1979 Triumph Convertible TR7, $5,400
This 1979 Triumph Convertible TR7 has extremely low mileage at 43,800 miles and has been owned by the original owner for 30 years. It's a candy-apple red convertible is listed on Craiglist as being available on the Seacoast. It has been garaged in the winters and is well taken care of. It is inspected, runs well and has been professionally appraised by British Import Dealership at $8,900 if sold on a lot. Get contact information and more photos here.
4. 1987 BMW 528, $1,900
This 1987 BMW 528, it has high mileage, more than 237,000, where the odometer stopped shortly after it was purchased by its current owner in November. It is used to drive from Merrimack to work in Nashua so it hasn't had a lot more mileage added to it in that time. According to the Craigslist listing, "The car runs and drives solid and doesn't leak a drop of anything, there is very little rust and has been repaired by the previous owner. 5. 1979 Lincoln Continental Collectors Edition, $3,000
This is a two-owner original Antique Lincoln with fewer than 65,000 miles on it. According to its Craigslist ad it is available in Manchester and it runs and drives, is inspected and road-worthy. That said, it's paint is starting to fade, and there are some small rust spots. "This car spent most of its years being used in parades and to go to church on Sundays."
