Pair Arrested for Theft Try at Home Depot

The following information was provided by Merrimack Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A Nashua man and a woman from Loudon were arrested by Merrimack Police on Wednesday after attempting to trick Home Depot into giving them credit for an item they never purchased.

Ginny Beth Killinger, 29, of  Wiggins Road, Loudon, and Jeremy Hodnett, 30, of Ash Street, Nashua, were both charged with attempted theft by deception when they were arrested Wednesday afternoon. Police say they were called around 1 p.m. on Aug. 14 reporting a possible theft at Home Depot. Upon officers arrival they conducted a brief investigation learned Hodnett and Killinger came into the store and removed a sink from the plumbing department and attempted to return it for a store credit.

Both were arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department where they were later released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail each. They were scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court, District Division in Merrimack on Sept. 10 to answer to the charges.
