Paving May Cause Delays on 3 Local Road Today

Traffic alert. Weather permitting, the contractor handling this summer's Merrimack paving program will be paving portions of Henry Clay Drive, John Tyler Street and Whitney Street. Expect single-lane traffic and please use caution within the work zones.
Traffic alert part two. If you have plans to head into the downtown area of Manchester this evening, make sure you plan ahead. The 21st annual CIGNA/Elliot Corporate 5K Road Race begins on Elm Street in front of Veterans Park at 6:20 p.m. With approximately 6,000 runners, traffic getting into the city is always very difficult and Elm Street, Canal Street and River Road will experience road closures during the event.

Hep A scare in Hillsborough County. A food service worker in Contoocook has been diagnosed with hepatitis A, a highly-contagious liver infection that is most often contracted from contaminated food or water or from close contact with someone who is already infected. According to the New Department of Health and Human Services 600 to 1,000 people may have been exposed to the illness and clinics are being set up for people to be tested. Read more on Concord Patch.
