Photo of the Week: Bears Are Out to Play

This week's photo of the week features the creature many have been on the lookout for in their yards since spring began: one of Merrimack's black bears.

This photo, uploaded to our most recent 2013 Bear Map update by Diane, was snapped on Davidson Avenue over the weekend. She also upload a couple other great shots (go check them out).

Bears have been prowling the woods, streets and back yards in Merrimack for years. In the last couple years at Patch, we've been plotting a map with all the reported sightings. Check the map out, as well as a couple other shots of this large black bear snapped by Diane. There's also a picture shared by Rick Diehl of a bear and a cub or two.
