Police Arrest 7 on Drug and Alcohol Charges

The following arrest information was provided by the Merrimack Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Three Milford teenagers were arrested from the Cinemagic parking lot on drug charges Friday night after police say they observed a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot. The occupants allegedly were found to have small amounts of marijuana on each them. Arrested were Samantha Ballou, 17, of 170 Mont Vernon Road Milford, Roderick Creary, 18, of 10 Buxton Road, Milford, and Devin Bennett, 17, 545 Elm St., Apt. 4, Milford. All were charged with possession of marijuana. They were each released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's District Court on April 23. Also in the car was a juvenile who was released to a family member. Their case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Bureau for review.

Also arrested recently were:

Catherine Aborn, 17, of 15 Sand Hill Drive, Merrimack, and Justin Bailey, 17,of 109 London Court, Merrimack, each on charges of possession of marijuana. Police say they came across a suspicious vehicle at Eighty Acres Conservation area on Currier Road on Saturday night at 8:25 p.m. They found Aborn and Bailey in the car and say they each were in possession of small quanitities of marijuana. Also in the car was a traffic cone belonging to a local business, police say. Aborn was additionally charged with receiving stolen property. They were each released on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's District Court on April 23.

Ellen Burton, 56, of 33 Trout Brook Road, Nashua, was arrested on April 7 on a charge of operating under the influence of liquorwhen she crashed her 2009 Chevy 1500 pick-up truck into some rocks on Boston Post Road near the Amherst town line around 6 p.m. Police say while talking with Burton at the scene of the accident, they recognized signs of impairment and after a brief investigation determined she had been driving under the influence. She was released on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's District Court on April 16.

Neil Anketell, of Dumpling Way, Merrimack, was charged with simple assault on Saturday, March 31. Police say they were called to a domestic disturbance at a local residence and there learned  Anketell had slapped a member of the household in the face during an argument. He was released on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's District Court on April 1.

Lauren Nelson, 25, of 512 Wimmn Ave., N. Chelmsford, Mass., was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and conduct after and accident after police found her vehicle in a driveway on Cota Road. They say they were called by a motorist travelling behind Nelson who said she struck a mailbox at 150 Turkey Hill Road and kept going and then struck a second mailbox at 80 Cota Road. Officers say while talking with Nelson they observed signs of impairment and placed her under arrest. She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's District Court on April 16
