Around the loop neighborhood, at least half a dozen mailboxes were missing or their wooden posts cracked.
On Thursday afternoon, one Beebe Lane resident was out reinforcing the bottom of the wooden post waiting for a new mailbox to be attached to it. He said the vandals had taken the post out near the base. He'd spent the better part of the afternoon replacing the post.
