Senior Information Fair is This Month

Join several local agencies and support groups who can provide useful information about caring for seniors on Oct. 23.

The Merrimack Police Department would like to let everyone know about its upcoming Senior Information Fair on Oct. 23, from 9-11:30 a.m., at the Merrimack Adult Community Center. This event is open to everyone. We have numerous agencies attending this event to help assist our senior community with services they may need. The focus is to provide the care seniors need to enjoy the quality of life they deserve. We have town, state, federal, county services along with other groups who provide services or contacts for services involving our seniors.

So if you are caring for or have parents getting up in age who might be in need of some type of assistance, here is your chance to stop by and speak with groups who will be able to assist when the time is right. It’s a very causal event where you just walk around and speak with the groups whom you or your family members may need help with. Please bring your parents, friends or neighbors by and see what is out there for services. Let’s help keep the standard of living where it should be for all our citizens within our community.

For anyone who is a caregiver for someone important to you that lives outside of Merrimack, you can still come and speak with these folks who also provide assistance outside of Merrimack so you know how to get the services to those you care for.
