Sex Offense, Drugs and Tolls Top March News

These stories were among the most read on Merrimack Patch in the last month.

Schools, tolls, an accident and arrests topped the news in Merrimack in March. In addition to the Exit 11 toll booth moving to the honor system between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., the Senate approved a toll-removal bill submitted by Sen. President Peter Bragdon, R-Milford, and modified by the Senate Ways and Means committee. The original bill proposed removal of all three tolls however the Ways and Means Committee revised the bill to close only Exit 12 saying the increased revenue at Exit 10 would compensate for the closure. The bill still needs to be approved by the House.
