Tax Rate for 2012 Reflects 22-Cent Decrease

Taxes on a $250,000 house will be about $50 less this year.

The State Department of Revenue Administration has confirmed the Town of
Merrimack's 2012 property tax rate at $23.21 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. This represents a decrease of 22 cents per thousand compared to the 2011 rate of $23.43.

This means a $250,000 home in Merrimack will pay 5,802.50 in taxes as compared to $5,857.50 under last year's tax rate.
