Teen Driver in Wire Road Accident Arrested
Police say she had drugs, stolen town property in her car at the time of the accident, which cracked a utility pole.

The teenage driver who was behind the wheel of the 2005 Ford Focus that left the road and cracked a utility pole last Wednesday, was arrested over the weekend on five charges that included possession of a controlled drug and receiving stolen property.
Tori Caron, 17, of 33 Meetinghouse Road was charged in April 7 possession of drugs, transportation of drugs, receiving stolen property, possession of tobacco and child restraint.
Police say Caron they responded to Wire Road at 4:38 p.m. on April 3 for a report of a head-on single-vehicle accident with a utility pole. During their investigation they say they found Caron to be in possession of marijuana, tobacco and sign that is the property of the town of Merrimack. They say she also had an unrestrained minor in her car at the time of the accident.

The accident forced the closure of Wire Road at Ivy Drive for about an hour and a half as the cracked pole was evaluated by PSNH. The road re-open to one lane but remained partially closed for several more hours while the pole was taken down and replaced.
One person, the minor in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening issues.

Police had a warrant drawn up for Caron and arrested her over the weekend. Se was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear at Merrimack's District Court on April 23 to answer to the charges
