Town Continues Winter Storm Clean Up

Town pounded by winter storm: As snow continues to fall from the winter storm, Merrimack residents now have a big clean up job ahead of them. Meanwhile, the winter storm continues to generate plenty of cancellations and closures. Be sure to stay with the Merrimack Winter Storm Center to stay up to date.

Sign up for Nixle: If you haven't already, there is no better time than the present to sign up for the Merrimack Police Department's free Nixle service which provides free updates about motor vehicle accidents, road closures and other emergency situations during events like this week's winter storm.

Volunteers needed: Several town boards and committees need members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. The openings are listed on the town's web site. If interested, please contact the Town Manager's office.

Ice rink open: If you are looking for a fun winter activity this weekend after the winter storm clean up is done, the town Recreation Department recently announced last week the ice rink has reopened for the season.

Get your 2014 hunting or fishing license. New Hampshire fishing and hunting licenses for 2014 are now available for purchase. Get yours early and be set for a WILD year of outdoor adventure, from ice fishing this winter to bagging your deer next fall.
