And a volleyball congrats, the annual Turkey Shoot, Josh Logan on 'The Voice' and today's forecast.

Town Council meets tonight. The Merrimack Town Council will meet on Thursday, Nov. 7 for a regularly-scheduled meeting. On the agenda is a presentation of the draft capital improvements plan and a discussion about the toll booths in Merrimack, submitted by Dan Dwyer, to see if the Town Council has interest in suing the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to remove the toll booth plazas in Merrimack. The meeting is at 7 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room. Get the full agenda on the town website.

Win your Thanksgiving dinner.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's almost time for the library's annual Turkey Shoot fundraiser. The Turkey Shoot isn't as violent as it sounds. It is a night of raffles in which attendees can win some or, if they are lucky, all of their Thanksgiving dinner. The Turkey Shoot is Thursday, Nov. 21 from 7-8:45 p.m. Read more about the fundraiser on Library Trustee Wendy Thomas' blog on Patch.

Volleyball congrats. A belated congratulations to the Merrimack High School varsity volleyball team on an excellent season, which unfortunately ended one game shy of the Div. I state championship. The team had an excellent season and made it to a semifinal playoff game against Salem, which ended with Salem winning 3 matches to 1. Congratulations, ladies, on another fine season!
