Town Gets Back to Business This Week

Town offices, public schools reopen following last week's winter storm; Town Council to meet on Thursday.

Town Offices, schools reopen: Following last week's snow storm, the Merrimack Town Offices and Merrimack public schools will reopen on Monday morning. The public schools were forced to close on Thursday following Christmas vacation and the town offices were unable to reopen after the New Year's Day holiday.

Planning Board, Town Council meetings:
The Merrimack Planning Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room and the Town Council will hold its first meeting of 2014 on Thursday at 7 p.m., which will be preceded by a public hearing on 59 Wire Road. The agendas for these and other town meetings can be viewed on the town web site.

Volunteers needed: Several town boards and committees need members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. The openings are listed on the town's web site. If interested, please contact the Town Manager's office.

Ice rink open:
If you are looking for a fun winter activity this weekend after the winter storm clean up is done, the town Recreation Department recently announced last week the ice rink has reopened for the season.
