Section of Turkey Hill Road Likely to Be Closed Through Commute

UPDATE 4 p.m.: Turkey Hill Road between Pilgrim Road and McQuestion Road will likely remain closed through the evening commute Sgt. Brian Levesque said shortly before 3:30 p.m.

PSNH at that time had just arrived on the scene to replace a telephone pole that was struck in a single-car crash around 2:45 p.m.

Levesque said the pole had significant damage and would need to be replaced. He said there were no injuries in the crash and the accident seems to be just that. He didn't expect charges to be filed.

A vehicles that need to get through that part of town can travel down Baboosic Lake Road to McQuestion Road to get to Turkey Hill Road.

Levesque said it would likely be at least a few hours before the pole is fully restored.

Original Story: Police are advising that Turkey Hill Road from Pilgrim Avenue to McQuestion Road is closed due to a motor vehicle accident with a pole. 

It is unknown for how long the road will be closed at this time, or the extent of damage to the pole.
